About the team
Chris Ozkoch
Lead CAD Designer, Head of Sales and Diamond Sourcing
Updated 3 June 2026
Anny's Manufacturing Jewellers is a partnership between two generations. My father, Harry Ozkoch, founded the workshop in 1990 and has been at the bench for more than 39 years — he is our master setter and the owner. I'm the new-generation half of that partnership: 15 years working alongside him, leading custom-ring design at our CAD workstation, and looking after sales and diamond sourcing at our Frankston workshop. We work from a workshop on the Mornington Peninsula with a 10-person team. Email us before visiting Collins Street for engagement-ring and wedding-ring consultations. Please wait for our email confirmation before coming in.
Design, in two generations
The way Anny's makes a ring is shaped by both halves of the partnership.
My father trained on the bench. He started at sixteen and has been setting stones longer than I have been alive — every bezel, every claw, every channel passes under his eye before a piece leaves the studio. His 2019 JAA People's Choice award for “A Drop of Love” is the public record of what that decades-long discipline produces. Read the full award story →
I trained on the digital side. My day starts in CAD — translating an idea from a brief or a back-of-napkin sketch into a 3D file we can review on screen, refine with the client, then send to print or to the bench. The hand-craft happens in the workshop; the design happens at the screen. We pass work back and forth.
What I bring to a Chris-led commission
Modern technology, traditional craft. Specifically:
- 3D CAD design — every custom piece is modelled before any metal is cut. You see the ring from every angle, in scale, before it exists.
- 3D gemstone scanning — your specific diamond or coloured stone is scanned and the setting is shaped to its exact geometry. Bezels, claws, and halos fit hand and glove, not by approximation.
- In-house laser engraving — initials, dates, hidden messages, or your own handwriting on the inside of the band, done at the workshop rather than outsourced.
- Diamond and gemstone sourcing — direct work with certified houses in Australia and overseas to find centre stones that match the brief. How we source →
- Whatever the next generation of tools makes possible — if a technology genuinely improves the ring or the customer experience, we adopt it.
When a commission moves through our studio, the process looks like The Journey of a Custom Ring →
Gemological credentials
I have completed the Gemological Institute of America's GIA Diamond Essentials and GIA Colored Stone Essentials courses. I am the signatory on the appraisal certificates Anny's issues for the engagement rings and bespoke pieces we manufacture.
