From the first idea to the final fit
A design you can see, hold and approve.
We work through the details together, with clear checkpoints before your ring is made.
01Share your ideas
Bring a photo, a sketch, a Pinterest board or a family stone. We talk through your style, budget and the natural, lab-grown or coloured stone that suits you.
02See your design
We turn the brief into a CAD design you can see from every angle. Refine the band, setting height and stone placement with your jeweller.
03Try the 3D print
Hold a physical model and check the proportions before approving your design. This is the time to make changes, before the ring is cast in metal.
04Made, set & finished
A specialist casting house casts the metal. Our Frankston jewellers set the stones, hand-finish your ring and check the final fit with you.

The hands behind your ring
Come inside the workshop.
Design, CAD, 3D printing, stone setting and finishing happen at our Frankston workshop. Only the casting goes to a specialist casting house.
You talk through the details with a team who understands how a ring is made, how it feels and how it will wear.

Choose the stone that feels right.
Natural or lab-grown diamonds, sapphires or another coloured gemstone. We'll compare your options with you and explain what changes the look and the price.
Have a family stone? We can assess its condition before confirming whether it can be safely set in your new ring.
The practical details
Your budget. Your timeframe.
The stone, metal and setting determine the price. Tell us your budget at the start and we'll explore designs that work within it, with a quote for your actual ring.

From an inherited diamond to a surprise proposal, we're here to talk through the details.
Ask our jewellersCommon questions
How long does a custom engagement ring take?
Most custom engagement rings take 3–4 weeks from CAD sign-off. Stone sourcing can add time if you're after something unusual — we'll give you a realistic date at the design consultation, and we'll tell you honestly if a proposal deadline is tight. We also have 2-week and 48-hour options for engagement and bridal rings. Get in touch to discuss what is possible for your timeframe. How much does a custom engagement ring cost?
We quote against your design, not a ballpark — the stone is usually the biggest variable, followed by the metal and the complexity of the setting. Because we design, set and finish each ring in our own workshop rather than buying it in, you're not paying a middle-man margin. Our engagement ring cost guide walks through what drives the price. Can you use my own diamond or a family heirloom?
Yes. Setting a customer's own stone — or remodelling an inherited piece into a new engagement ring — is bench work we do every week at Frankston. We'll check the stone's condition first and tell you if a stone isn't sound enough to re-set.Do you work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds?
Both. We source natural and lab-grown diamonds, plus sapphires, rubies and other coloured stones, and we'll compare them side by side without pushing you either way. The design process is identical whichever you choose. How can I visit your showrooms?
Frankston handles all services, including repairs, valuations, engraving, remodelling, engagement rings and wedding rings. Walk-ins are welcome at our Frankston workshop at 92 Young Street, Frankston VIC 3199. Email us before visiting Collins Street for engagement-ring and wedding-ring consultations. Please wait for our email confirmation before coming in. Private and unhurried, it suits a first design conversation. What if the ring doesn't fit?
We'll ensure it's a fit — one free resize within the first 2 months, for a change of up to three ring sizes. If you're planning a surprise proposal we can also help you find the size without giving the game away. Can you make a ring from a photo or Pinterest board?
Yes — reference images are one of the most common starting points. We'll tell you what translates well from a photo, what won't wear well in real life, and where a small change makes the design stronger. The finished ring is drawn and approved by you before we make it.
