Our Services · Repairs
Anny's repairs rings, chains, earrings and bracelets in-house at our Frankston workshop. Everyone is welcome at Frankston — bring the piece in for a free inspection and we'll quote the work the same visit. Our Collins Street showroom takes in repairs for existing Anny's clients only.

Every repair is performed on our own bench in Frankston, not sent out to a third party.
A jeweller inspects the piece and quotes the work before any tools touch it.
Depending on complexity and urgency. Flag a deadline at drop-off and we'll tell you straight.
Frankston takes in repairs from anyone, on jewellery bought anywhere — including from jewellers who no longer trade.
The Bench
Bench repairs across rings, chains, earrings and bracelets — quoted free at Frankston and worked in our own workshop.
Up or down, in gold, white gold, rose gold, platinum or silver. The work we quote most often, and it blends seamlessly into the original piece.
Retips and full prong rebuilds on engagement rings where the metal has worn thin from years of daily wear.
Broken-link soldering, length adjustments, jump rings, and lobster or parrot clasp replacement.
Butterfly back replacement, post re-soldering on studs that have snapped off the setting, and shaft straightening on bent hooks.
Loose stones re-set, accent stones replaced, claws tightened before they fail, and pearl strands re-threaded when the silk has perished.
Rhodium re-plating on yellowed white gold, polishing scratched bands back to a mirror finish, and full re-shanks.
Where a stone has been lost we can source a like-for-like replacement from our supplier network and match it as closely as possible to the original colour and clarity — the same workflow as our custom-made jewellery service, just on an existing piece. For the honest long version, including the jobs we'd advise you not to spend money on, read our guide to what can and can't be fixed.

The price is set after an in-person inspection at Frankston. Band width, the setting, the weight of metal and the size of the jump all move the figure, so a jeweller looks the piece over before quoting the work.
A simple silver band resize sits at the lower end; a heavy-set platinum band with multiple stones or engraving sits at the upper end. Sizing up requires adding gold or platinum in proportion to the band's current metal weight, and sizing down does not — which is why the two ranges differ.
Not sure of the size you need? Our ring size converter will get you close before you come in, and we confirm it on the finger at the counter.
Sizing down
A$150 — A$350
in-person inspection required for exact quote
Sizing up one size
A$180 — A$400+
in-person inspection required; complex bands may exceed range
Price Guide
Estimates only — the final price depends on an inspection of your piece.
Every figure is a from price for a standard piece in sound condition, and every price here is confirmed after an inspection — nothing in this guide is a quote. Estimates rise with the metal: the same job costs more in 18ct gold or platinum than in silver, because the metal added or replaced is heavier and dearer. Pick a category to see its table.

Every figure in this guide is an estimate, not a quote. Prices are indicative starting points for a standard piece in sound condition, and the final price is confirmed only after a free in-person inspection — hollow, antique, stone-set, heavily worn, unusually wide or previously resized pieces take more bench time and are quoted individually. Nothing in this guide limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
All prices include GST. Effective 28 August 2026.
Turnaround
Standard resizes, prong retips, chain solders and clasp swaps sit at the shorter end. Multi-stone retipping, full re-shanks and stone replacements that need sourcing sit at the longer end, and peak periods can run longer again — so we give you a realistic date when the piece comes in.
Drop in at Frankston during showroom hours. A jeweller looks the piece over on the spot and quotes the work the same visit.
The work is performed in our own Frankston workshop by the jewellers who manufacture our rings.
We work to your deadline when one is set — flag it at drop-off and we'll tell you whether it's achievable.
